OK...This Should Be On My Fridge !

This made me laugh all damn day, until I saw the news about Big Tex ( previous post) .

I had to laugh about the hub bub about the settlement between Amazon and various publishers. Anyone who has an e reader knows that you are buying the e reader at cost and the profit margin is set in the purchase of the books. Hell , Bezos admitted as much recently.

I read tons of blogs and  one in particular is called " Good Reads ".
Many of my favorite authors are there such as Terry Goodkind and so on. Many of those authors are now self published in order to retain  some control over their product for lack of a better term. It is no longer unusual to see young authors self publishing...( is it me or does that phrase sound vaguely risque ? LMAO !) and I think that it is in many ways , more of a trend than a fluke.

I have some friends that have converted their entire library to e  format.
Personally, I think they are idiots for doing so.
Why ?
Anne McCaffrey, Lillian Jackson Braun, Marion Zimmer Bradley , Robert Jordan and David Eddings  to name a few.
The world lost these wonderful authors within the last  few years and I still mourn their passing.
I have ALL of their books in hardbound first editions.
ALL OF THEM.
Many are no longer available and won't be available until their publishers contractual rights expire.
The world  will be a sad place if the written word does a " Newsweek".
There is a place for all formats.
Would I buy an e version of a cookbook  ?
Oh Hell No !
I tend to make notes where needed regarding a recipe.
I will still buy books for SU ..( Yes dear , I know that you read this and we both know that I am going to buy you the new Cusslers...so calm down dude) who does not have an e reader because we both know that he will leave it in the car and that is a big no no .
Oh and for the record..the big kerfuffle about settlement..it won't be much more than store credits.
Do the research.
If you opt for a paper check, you must remove yourself from this  and ANY FUTURE settlements in this suit.
And if the publishing industry has no fear of taking on Jeff Bezos, they won't hesitate to do the same to Barnes and Noble.

Have a great weekend.

Oh Noes ~ !

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Tex http://www.chron.com/news/texas/article/Fire-destroys-State-Fair-of-Texas-icon-Big-Tex-3964333.php

Big Tex has burned almost to the ground.
I hope they plan on replacing it, he  is such an iconic figure to everyone that I can't think of the state fair with out it .

Slap Mr. Linky above for details and a backround on Big Tex.

Happy Friday ~ Bruce Of The Day ~ !

Happy Friday everyone !
Since SU, the Crazy Cajuns and I are heading to Ren Fes this weekend, I thought the two photos above were appropriately theme related..yeah ..I do stuff like that .

Control freak...Moi ?

We have been busy lil beavers this week after work, policing the joint ..oops...cleaning up the house a bit since we won't be home all day tomorrow, and frankly , I have no energy to do much beyond laundry the last few weeks after fighting sinus/allergies. And as always, I am grateful to have a spouse who pitches in, it really makes a huge difference.

So after leaving the house at OMG WTF thirty on a Saturday am, we will forage for breakfast and head up there. The Cajun said when asked that for his birthday, he/they wanted to go to the Kings wine tasting..which is at 1 friggan pm.

1 PM.

OMG...

I did some research and it is a true wine tasting so there won't be any of the usual drink your ass off behavior that has become rampant some years ( not us honest to Gaia....but you know how festivals can be,,and frankly I am really over a lot of that shite ) ...and lets face it ..folks our age are the ones that will be more than likely the majority of the limited number of people group .

Hippsters don't do wine tastings.

Hippsters , come to think of it don't really do Ren Fes anyway and the Festival itself does a very good job of policing stuff..so just because you don't see them doesn't mean that the Po Po aren't there.

I do know that I want to get some more incense and do a bit of Christmas shopping if I can , but we shall see....I am spending enough on the renovations as it is ..LMAO !

Have a great weekend !

Just Another Manic Monday ~ !

No...I didn't fall off the face of the Earth.
Finally after almost 3 weeks of allergy suffering , I can make a passing attempt at breathing..if I pace myself.

It's that time once again guys and gals..where Aunty and SU lose their friggan minds as we renovate La Casa.
And I am hearing Freddy Mercury singing " I want it all" in my head right now..which of course I do .
Oh Lordy , it just occurred to me that there is a distinct possibility that my contractor " The Moron " ( said with love sweetie ) and Mr. Trejo, the lawn dude may cross paths on Wednesday...awwww crap monkeys.
I am sure they will work it out...the back yard being cut can wait a week..my deck won't.
Luckily for me, SU and I have the same ideas about the next project.
We are gutting the guest bathroom...or I should say the Moron is.
SU took his new phone ( Samsung III , which he loves ) up to Lowes and got some basic photo's of the style vanity , hardware and so on to show me that was pretty much along the line of what he and I have been discussing for well over a year. I already had the shower curtain that is the basis of this scheme and he stripped all of the old wallpaper of the walls while I was out of town.
And I have paint chips coming out of my ears.
Seriously.
I had to walk away from it all for a day or so..they began to resemble a drunks delirium .
EEK !

It will all work out, we just have to focus on one project at a time, it's literally all I can handle.
Other than that , life is all good..Southside Johnny's recovery from the lower half of the denture surgery is coming along nicely , Xena is doing pretty well and we are traipsing up this Saturday to the Ren Fest for the Crazy Cajuns birthday celebration....the wine tasting....quick...get me a turkey leg pronto..this shebang starts at 1 pm....OMG.

Have a great week.

Happy Friday ~ Bruce Of The Day ! ~

Well, getting back into the swing of things is as much of a pain in the ass and a drag as I anticipated..le sigh.
I have to admit, I am surprised at a couple of instances that happened while I was out..and then..why the frak ( LMAO..much the same as I did when I was around Dakota, now that Carlee is a part of my life, the Fairy God Grandmother is going  to try to watch the potty mouth..well...I'm gonna try..LMAO )   am I surprised ?

My department/section if you will is made up of 3 people.
When one of us is out, we jockey coverage and it usually works out. It is  , or should be understood that when one is short staffed that it is not the optimum time for one of the other 2 to take 2 hour lunches or leave early.
Yep..that is exactly what Cha Cha did..on more than one occasion while I was on the coast.
I mean really ?
She has developed a really bad habit of pulling this crap. She won't share when she wants to take off they way the other gal and I do , she just does and screw anyone elses life. She is going to try to sneak and sneak is not me being snarky, it is literally her MO....out of here early today  because she and her hubby are going to fly to Denver for the Football game. Yes dear hearts, she is the same one that habitually takes off the Monday after a game because her  ass is so hungover she is quite the porcelain Buddha hugger.
Chronic to the point that the whole bloody office knows and expects it. She hinted broadly that " If it's a late flight back from Denver that she " might " not be in on Tuesday, "  to which the third of our trio replied...." No...I have jury duty that day, beginning at 7:45 am. "
Any bets Cha Cha takes it off anyway ?
Didn't think so, you clever things, you .

Her panties are going to be in a royal twist when she figures out that she cannot take the day off after the Christmas party as is her custom as the third gal is going to be out of town. That time was properly submitted and approved long ago. Cha Cha thinks it is her God given right to take that day off and she was quite irked a few years ago when she was actually turned down..thank you again for that on general principal ,  Malibu .
She then started to submit the request a FULL 6 MONTHS in advance.
Yeah, she really did .
And they had no call to not approve it .

I have put in a request for time off in December, from the 21'st through the end of the year today.
Yes, I know I just came back from vacation.
Yes, I know that Cha Cha is used  to me being more prudent with my accrued time off in the last quarter of the year because I carry over a month and cash it in to pay federal taxes.
I haven 't taken time off during the holidays since a trip to meet Dakota ..6 years ago.

Except I don't have to worry about that any more.
If I am short on time , and I don't care if I am , they can dock me.
I can afford it.

We are getting a new full time HR for the original office on October 2'nd. The gal who has been doing the job was the HR for the Atlanta office and took over that function for Houston in addition when Malibu retired.

I can't wait to see how Cha Cha thinks she is going to pull this crap with a new HR on duty.
The HR who is our direct supervisor in the chain of command here at the firm.

Good times, good times.

Have a great weekend .

Another Theophile Steinlin Fan - Who Knew ?

http://dyingforchocolate.blogspot.com/2012/09/chocolate-poster-of-day.html

I am trying to get semi caught up on a ton of shite, including all of the blogs that I follow . I always read " Dying For Chocolate " because yeah...
Anyhoo, this post stopped me in my tracks because I have both of the posters in question in the guest room and am a HUGE fan of Theophile Steinlin.

Evidently, Miss Janet and I have more in common than a love of chocolate.
Who knew ?
Boop Mr. Linky to pop over to her blog.

Lava Butte ~ 2012 ~

This is Lava Butte, south of Bend Oregon, and no..we DID NOT drive to the top. As it was, parts without guard rails scared the crap out of me on the way up On the way down , the mantra was " Hug the rock, pretty rock, hug the rock...pretty rock.
The lil dude is a yellow chipmunk. He and his running buddy were all over the parking lot, cuter than hell...so of course Sistah and I had to feed then a bit of a cracker.
Then we saw the sign.
" Please do not feed the chipmunks."

Aw CRAP !
Hmmm...if no one saw, did it happen ?

Then near the visitors center , we saw the second sign :

" Human food is bad for you ."

Obviously, the US Park Service has an elevated belief in the literacy level of Alvin and the rest of the band.

Remember, if no one saw....it NEVER happened.

Google Lava Butte  for more information.
Class dismissed.

Talk LIke A Pirate Day ~ 2012 !

Yes, it's Aunty Pol's second favorite holiday, Bastille Day being the other .
It's " Talk Like A Pirate Day " !
So...Arrrrr..grab yer Captain Morgan's and have a tot of rum or 3.

The trip to the coast was wonderful. The PCH ( Pacific Coast Highway ) is amazing and for the most part has guard rails along the higher elevations. I say for the most part because to be honest , there were some areas that I had my eyes closed.
I have this thing with heights.
It's a mutual hatred.
Sistah has a love for the lighthouses along the coast so off we went.
It was really rather mind boggling to imagine the complete isolation of the lighthouse keepers and their families if they had one. They grew their own food, both crops and flocks and I was stunned to realize how hard it must have been for them to get anything to grown in that sort of wind and salt air, but evidently they did.
The most amazing bit about the lighthouses to me was the mechanics of it all, and I won't even pretend to understand the process...suffice to say.." Shiney " seemed to cover it pretty much.

Another interesting fact about the Oregon coast is that it appears that there is a thriving Classic Car Club or Society. Everywhere we went, Crater Lake, Florence, Depoe Bay, Newport , Bend ...you name it they were all over the joint.
And not just for looks.
These cats were driving all over in them.
It gave Aunty Pol a case of the vapors I tell ya.

More to follow...

Happy Birthday To The Sistah Of My Heart !

Happy Birthday Sweetie !
I miss you , Double Oh, the kids , the folks, Buster, Molly, Shanaia ( sp) and CARLEE bunches.
Oh, I just am enamored of Carlee..yeah....Noodle Baby did it again.
I had such a good time, and I wish that we could do it more often , yet at the same time ,  because we can only do it every few years, it makes it that more special...yeah , I know that doesn't make sense but you know what I mean.
In other news...LMAO..
The job that the Crazy Cajun got with the brown short folk is part time but it is management and it does have medical insurance so huzzah. SU thinks it may very well work into full time.
He is also very proud of himself because he got all of the wallpaper in the kids bathroom removed and 2 coats of kilz up so Lordy , let the renovation begin.
We bought a new dishwasher that was delivered yesterday and that the Moron is going to help SU install....I trust yours made it too today as planned ?
The punishment phase from the kittehs was not as long as I expected, perhaps the fact that I give them more treaties than the Daddy does might be a factor in all of this .

Happy Birthday Sweetie..!!
BTW..You do know that it is National " I Can Has Cheezeburger Day " today too..right ?

Love,
Me.

OK..So I don 't do the best job in the world with photos..I know.
In 3 days , I will be on a plane headed for the Big Paloose ...aka Pullman...wheeeee.
Then Sistah, Double Oh and I will be headed to Oregon.
The bottom 2 pictures are of Bend Oregon, a really gorgeous place in the middle of the state.
Then we are headed for the coast as depicted in the top two pictures.
Since it's 100 friggan degrees without the heat index factor ,  can  you blame me ?
I am so ready to go.....
I just hope I remember to leave reminder notes so that SU remembers to water the potted plants and the garden..
I know you will try honey, won 't you ?

Happy Friday ~ Bruce Of The Day ~ !

No...I haven't fallen off a cliff or  been hit by a car The SU is fine, stressed at the pace at work but fine.
The babies are all fine, Xena's eye is much better .

It's just been a bit hectic and stressfull ( in an odd but not bad way ) for me.

Southside Johnny had been working my last nerve so badly about the whole estate issue that I just sort of had to shut down from him and pretty much everything else for a bit. I was pretty happy that SU and I were/are on the same page about the whole thing..it will happen as it will happen.

It also did not help that I became ill with allergies and sinus issues after New Orleans that reached the point of daily meds..which is a pain in the ass....and an annoyance .

And then.....

The first distribution of the estate arrived. I knew from the attorney the approximate amount and had /have all of the paper work routed to my office..

And I was gobsmacked.

SU and I are just like everyone else .
Some months it's payday to payday.
Some not.
It's gotten better , but it's still an uphill battle to get and keep money in savings.
Tires, vet bills, you get the idea.
Normal.

It's one thing to fantasize about money.." If I won the lottery I'd........"
It's another thing to actually have some.

It freaked me out more than a bit.

Yes, I did spend a smidge on me.
I also paid off some major bills, helped someone I carry in my heart everyday which gives me indescribable joy and realized I don't have to panic when the property tax bills hit this month.

It's rather odd to not have that panicked voice in my head...." This is coming up, that is coming up , are the kids okay....we need a new roof... I HAVE TO BUY A NEW DISHWASHER....yada yada yada.

The vast majority of the money sits in savings where it belongs...and where it  will stay.

And..since this is the first of at least 2 more..I know how to deal with it in a responsible manner.

So..all that being said.....

I'M BACK.....!

Have a safe holiday weekend.

Aunty Pol

I guess this summer has been so hectic and what not that I didn't think in terms of the holiday weekend, only that I was gonna get on a plane for the coast and go hand with Sistah and Double Oh Mullet a week from Saturday..

Ker Thunk !

Well crappity crap crap crap crap...that means that I only have this Friday to wear jeans at the office until we have a holiday weekend  or until next summer.

Honey, I found It !

http://www.sixsistersstuff.com/2011/09/cheesy-hashbrown-potato-casserole.html

When we were at the reunion, along with the myriad of selections ( chicken, casseroles aka hot dishes etc) I came across this undiscovered gem on the table.

I've heard the term "Funeral potatoes " before but never came across the recipe..which is weird because I am a Spud girl, except for scalloped because that version gives me heart burn.

I follow the " Six Sisters" blog and ran across this as I was trying to get caught up on posts that I haven't read in 2 weeks or so..I know..bad blogger...bad , bad !

Of course I am going to make this ...and I will add BACON !

Slap Mr. Linky to check it out..there is also a non cream of soup used version too !

Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Stuffed Grilled Chicken Breasts

I know..isn't the title a mouth full ?

http://live.charbroil.com/articles/bacon-wrapped-jalepeno-popper-stuffed-chicken-breasts

Do you ever have the dreaded " Bored out of my mind with what to cook for Sunday dinner ? "

I have recently and I know that it is not boredom per se , it's stress.
My mind shuts down..not off dear, down .
LMAO.
It seems like it's been crazy around the swamp lately. His work is off the scale with the prep that the clients/patients need for the back to school get my adjustments done. This is a variation of the much feared and oft lamented " End of the year , get my adjustments done before the new deductible kicks in after the first of the year."
Me...I work for attorneys so I am pretty much always bat shit crazy.
At least I am self aware.

New Orleans was fun , educational but fun.
Imagine that..using the words New Orleans and educational in the same sentence.
I'm gonna laugh about that all day.
I learned that some of SU's family are Pentecostal..
And that one of his cousins attended the reunion, went home that night , went about his usual routine, went to bed ..and..........
Yeah..

Anyhoo...
Meanwhile, back at the ranch.....

The clutter is getting better after the trip, except that " Where handbags go to die " is reopened in the bedroom and my closet needs some serious attention..because I am still clearing up the crap after the NOLA trip.
I wasn't really pressed to do it because I am turning around and heading West ( Wagons Ho ! ..LMAO ROTF..now that phrase takes on a whole new meaning in todays world , doesn't it ? "
Some of the girl stuff is topped off and ready and I know where the bag I want to take is,....I think.
I need to get a hair appt , and jeans hemmed.
I NEED TO CLEAN THE DAMN HOUSE !

And so the brain is overloaded..sensory overload.

And to be honest , I am spending way the hell too much time playing " Dragons of Atlantis " on Facebook.
Damn you Zoiberg..er...Zuckerburg....er...what ever...Bastard !

So there I was this am, reading my poor neglected blogs reading list and there it was ..
This recipe.
The skies cleared...

I loves me some japs.
I loves me some cream cheese.
I loves me some chiggin .
We have a new-ish pretty grill !

BACON IMPROVES EVERYTHING !
Spank Mr. Linky for the recipe.

I have used a lot of Souffle Bombay's recipes in the past....SHE ROCKS .

I think My Head 'Sploaded From The Cute .

http://www.etsy.com/shop/niftyknits?ref=seller_info

I saw this on a facebook post reply to something Wil Wheaton put up ...yeah ..I'm a fan girl ..

Anyhoo, I had to zip over to Etsy and check it out.

A hand knitted Sheldon Meerkat....BAZINGA !

And, they have one of Amy !

Then it hit me, amid the cuteness.
August is half over.
We only have 3 more weekends that we can wear bluejeans to the office on Fridays save for any Friday of a three day holiday weekend.
Rumor has it that the Atlanta office can wear theirs every Friday which is BULLSHIT..if true..but until I have more data , I am not going to challenge it.

Then it hit me..4 months to Christmas.

And for once, I didn't feel the combination of panic and bile rise up.

Usually , we are all fretting about Christmas bonus..yep..I'm a fairly high ranking fretter.
We always get it but you know how that is .
My bonus pays for the annual property taxes on the house so it's a challenge to say the least to ease into Christmas with that...

Until now.

Because of a change in financial circumstances here at the swamp, the angst is over.

It is unfortunate that this is due to an inheritance, but it is what it is .
I am uber prudent with money and I think the thing that makes the most difference to me is the ability to be able to do the small gestures for co-workers that before had not even been an option.

I might be  able to finally enjoy it all without the last minute scramble and feeling that we just have to get through it.

Deep down, I know that the holidays mean more than that and they do to me , but it will be nice to not have the extra helping of angst.

So..if I post some stuff that I find uber cute or silly or actually..the usual stuff come to think of it..enjoy.

Dickie Brennans

http://www.dickiebrennanssteakhouse.com/our-team.html

http://hickswrites.blogspot.com/2010/07/new-orleans-dining-dickie-brennans.html

We had a wonderful time in New Orleans .
Of course thre really is no such thing as a bad time unless you factor in hurricanes or daily rain ( please Jeebus H send  it our way )..

The food is exceptional in a city known for food but on the last night that we were there, I wanted to find a good steak house. Now I love streak houses and I love Salt Grass..but I was on vacay and wanted to up the ante so to speak.

When in doubt, ask the front desk.

The nice young man recommended Dickie Brennans , and it was close by....literally 2 blocks from the hotel. We were dressed casually but nice and once we realized reservations were not needed..Yatzee ! Everyone was dressed in comfortable yet casual and I was happy to see that SU had retained the commom sense to remove his cap ( yes dear , I did notice) and that only one other college age chap had a cap on. He did quickly remove it I noticed when the others at his table (O parental age I would suspect ) suggested doing so...good boy !

Open the link.

It was first and foremost one of the loveliest decors I have seen in a very long time. Tasteful and soothing, like everything else the Brennan family puts their hand to, they have nothing to prove.

Attentive but not overbearing, the waitstaff showed their talent and experience in such a way that you wanted to listen to them. From what I saw , each table, even for our party of 2 had a team of three people assigned to them.

OMG the food.

Now, first of all, when I can get my hands on Turtle soup, I am over the moon.
Brennans never fails me.

I am a simple person when it  comes to beef.
Give me a good cut of beef, some form of potatoes, bread and wine and I am happy.

I ordered prime rib, frittes ( french fires y'all..yes, I am showing off a bit here ) , he ordered the fillet and veggy melody, the hot french bread was never ending , and one of the best bottles of red wine we have ever had. It carries Dickie Brennans name on it and is purported to be his personal favorite....I need to find out where I can order some for the house , we both liked it that much. I wonder if they can ship it here..lol.

It was soooooooo damn good.

I passed on desert in favor of coffee and a B & B or 2..hee hee..

Yes...it was more than we usually spend at home but what the hell....I'd spend a couple of hundred or more plus tip  in a heart beat for this meal any day of the week.

I'm still smiling about the meal..and the prime rib that I brought home made a damn fine sammich.

Regular blogging will resume post haste.

Happy Friday ~ Bruce Of The Day ~ !

I have to laugh at this point.
I understand the OMG factor at this point after IKE. We all got hit really hard, but that was a fluke.
A Friggan Fluke.
We used to tell Daddy that we are far enough north of the island ( Galveston) that for us to be in real danger, a storm would " Have to travel up the Ship Channel " .
Look at a map of Texas.
Locate Houston, then locate Galveston island.
Now...look at a map of Houston.
Locate IAH ( Bush Intercontinental Airport Houston).
We live by the airport.
Now look back at Galveston Island .
And look at IAH.
Lather.
Rinse .
Repeat.

It was a God awful fluke and I hope I never go through that again.
I survived Alicia in 1983 in the Webster/Clear Lake area, where the fire department came door to door and suggested that we evacuate. I politely asked where do we go , w live here.
Since the evacuation was voluntary, we stayed.
Since this was not my first time at the rodeo so to speak having lived on the coast of Virginia during Camille, I wasn't too worried.

Ike was different, so much so that let's just say 10 or 11  days with out power was the least of it.
Food and  clean , hot water became a real issue.

So, yes, we are watching Ernesto, and there are 2 other storms developing.
Down here it's also called August.
The Gulf water is hot.

And as far as I am concerned , I am still going to New Orleans .
The rooms are paid for dammit.

Yes, if it looks bad....screw the money...I may be crazy but I am not insane.

Have a great weekend.

London calling

Arrrgggh ~ August !

Grrr.
August.
August Makes Me Crazy.

First off, it's the beginning of the really hotter than hell down here in Houston.
It also signals the end of summer in many ways.
There are only 4 more Fridays that we can wear jeans to the office and I will miss one of those because I will be out of town....wah .
It's also the month that we really begin to watch the tropics because amongst other things the Gulf is really hot.
Stores are amok with the back to school sales and we avoid those at all costs.
If you shop at JC Pennys , and they have a hair salon ,AVOID the store at all costs because kids haircuts are free.
RUN !
RUN FAR , FAR AWAY .

Nothing goes on in August, it is simply that gap month before autumn begins.

Autumn.....sigh.
We don't have seasons here ..hurricane doesn't count.
By September, I am ready for cooler weather.
Also called December.
I am usually pouring over slow cooker recipes and baking and ready for days when the oven being on won't kill the house.
I don't think about the time change or the fact that the garden and yard will look like crap..being nearsighted helps a lot.
I lust over boucle sweaters and the fact that I can wear my copper bronze leather jacket again.
I prowl the shops in the tunnels for shawls to add to the collection...I look at closed toe booties that are a major miracle if I can wear them....one bad pedicure and you are apt to be cursed with ingrown toe nails ..and it 's a solid bitch if they are the big toes, trust me.

August is the last month that I have before the holiday sh*t starts and it seems to start earlier every year...GAH.

August bores the hell out of me.

I'm so ready for a few days in NOLA.

In August.

Yeah..it's not like the weather is different between here and NOLA .

Half way Through The Week ~ Yee Hah !

Now we all know that I love shoes.
I drool over shoes.
I dream about shoes.
I will plan outfits ( does anyone still actually do that ?) around a pair of shoes.
I will spend more than the original cost to have a favorite pair of shoes heels replaced ( don't ask dear).
I will even wear chuka boots..if I could find them and they were still made.
Not those wanna be's that are out there unless they are a really cute wedge bootie like Toms has.
Chuka boots are a family thing.

BUT GOD IS MY WITNESS, I WILL NEVER OWN A PAIR OF UGGS AND WOULDN'T BE CAUGHT DEAD IN PUBLIC IN THEM IF I WAS FORCED TO .

Yee Gawds..sequins ?
Really ?
Shudder.

And I likes the shiney, much to my husbands dismay.

I got to thinking about it today which is where this all started.
The sistah of my heart has a birthday mid September, and I asked her where she wanted to go if she could go anywhere..and I knew her answer but wanted to throw out some options.
The correct answer...the Oregon Coast.
Done.

Yes dear, I will tell you the dates when I have the time..mwahahahahah

Anyhoo,.....I have been out in the Northwest in the fall and it is usually cooler than here .
It's August people..Hell is probably cooler than Houston right now...lol.
So of course , I am thinking what to pack.
New Orleans in a week or so is easy..the weather is the same as here..pack the cuteness and git .

The Oregon Coast..um....
Whew..the average temp is 78 degrees.

I wonder if it will be too early for the leaves to change...

OMG..I'm going to be back in an area that actually has seasons !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EVERYBODY WINS !
