A PSA From Lady L and Hubble Space Paws

http://hubblespacepaws.blogspot.com/2010/01/lilos-story-part-i.html

Dear Hearts and gentle readers ,

Please hit the link about and read the post from Lady L over at The Adventures Of Space Paws.

It's important and worth thinking about .

As the mother of 6 , I don't know what I would do if something happened to my husband or myself and one of us had to go into this situation.

Granted , we are middle aged and in good health but....yeah...it could in fact happen.

If you have your own blog, please feel free to grab the link above , or at least be aware that this is a real life issue as we pet parents carry on through life.

Blessed Be.

Thanks Aunty!!

Lilo's situation was a reminder to me that I need to make arrangements for my crew, too. Yep, middle aged and healthy can also get hit by a bus. Don't want the family to have to sweat it.

Soooo... that's my project for February... finishing the "If You're Reading This, I'm Dead" binder. You know, how to get at the insurnace money... how to ditch my body cheap... what to serve to eat at the wake (now THAT I care about)... stuff like that. And add a chapter on how to take care of the kittehs when the time comes.

I really like the Binder Idea...Of course the look on SU's face when I bring that up will be a true Mastercard Moment.

ROFL!! Be sure to film said moment!

My Dad did one, which is why Sis and I started them, too... Dad's is sitting on his bookcase for all to see (he wanted it to be easy to find). The little old ladies in his retirement community think it's appaling. Like they're not going to die or something, I guess. :-)

Dad even has the letters written for us and envelopes addressed to the banks, insurance companies, etc. All we have to do is sign and mail. Have I mentioned my Dad is a bit anal at times? This time, I love him for it!
